How should I approch a very controlling/dominating person in a group project situation?

This is for a univertisity project and we didn't choose our group membersHow should I approch a very controlling/dominating person in a group project situation?
I would ask her to meet me for coffee and if she agreed I would take the opportunity to tell her one-on-one that you feel her strong personality makes it harder for others to feel included in the project. Get to know her on a personal level and she will become less intimidating.

You have to find your voice. How should I approch a very controlling/dominating person in a group project situation?
Well know what you're gonna say first. Be prepared, so you can over talk them and interrupt them with something of substance that gets them speechless. Oh and if you continue having problems report to your professor and ask if you can do the project alone because a group member refuses to participate as a group(most professors will help you with the situation in some way). If they don't help and it effects your grade negatively report it to the dean or provost.

If necessary you should threaten to sue the school or write to the President or, Board of Regents.
